Community Involvement Programme
As a family owned stores serving our local communities, we are closer to local issues, and therefore able to recognise and cater services to local communities' needs. We play a key role in the communities we serve and have made a significant financial contribution to local charities and community initiatives since we started. The Sawbrigeworth Community Bus is just one example of a major investment on our part.
Community Involvement also means supporting local producers and putting the pound back into the local economy - not just charity collection boxes.
In April 2013 we rolled out our revamped Community Involvement Programme where we broaden our scope, to include individuals and the environment around our stores, with tangible benefits for community, social, public health and the environment.
Our Community Involvement Programme is driven by a long-term, hands-on, commitment to a sustainable partnership with community groups, based on a more businesslike relationship which provides mutual benefit.
