Priors Hall Farm produce pork sausages from their herd of pedigree pigs, reared on the farm. All the pig feed is produced from the arable crops grown on the farm by the Menhinick family. Their sausages include, Pork and leek, nice'n'spicy and their own traditional recipe. Their meat is used by some of the finest eateries in the region.
The Menhinick family have been farming arable crops and rearing pedigree pigs at Priors Hall Farm for three generations. In early 2003 a state of the art cutting plant was built at the farm, to process James and Richards own pigs. We wanted to sell quality home grown produce to local people.
Our pigs are housed in large deep straw yards with plenty of natural light, air and space to exercise. Wheat and barley grown at Priors Hall is made into pig feed in our own feed mill. We believe we are unique in being able to go from grain to plate on the farm.
The quality of our pork is due to the highest animal welfare standards adopted at Priors Hall, the fully traceable feed supply and of course the traditional recipes and methods we use for curing, smoking and preparing our hand made products. Our customers tell us our pork tastes like real pork used to.
